Jennifer Smith

Jennifer Smith

Jennifer is a caretaker by nature. She lives to give and help others. She reared 4 biological children but has played a valuable role in the rearing of many more. She began her professional caretaker career as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2006, working with the elderly and although she enjoyed and gave her all on the job, within a few months she felt that her calling was elsewhere. That’s when she realized that her passion and gift was surrounding herself with and working with children of all ages.

She went on to receive her training as a therapeutic and medically fragile foster parent in 2009, so that she could apply both her love for children, along with her medical competencies to use while providing the child with a home and family to call their own. She is also a certified A.H.A CPR instructor and C.N.A instructor. She returned to complete her studies for RN in 2013 and shall return to school in the fall to further continue her studies. She will stop at nothing when it comes to fulfilling the hopes and dreams of children in and out of the foster care systems living with medical complex and technology-dependent conditions and ensuring that those she reaches, live out a happy, joyous, and protected life.
